My client a well known Multi Skill Contractor in Stoke on Trent are recruiting for a Electrical Design Engineer to join them at their office in Stoke on a Permanent basis.
You will be required to produce commercially-viable Design / BIM solutions within commercially viable timescales to meet the requirements of the client specification, good engineering practice, current legislation and company procedures.
Responsibilities:
· To evaluate the client’s requirements in relation to the design of the project and tender.
· To prepare a commercially viable design solution to satisfy the agreed specification and tender.
· To ensure that all design solutions produced are consistent with good engineering practice, current legislation, and company procedures.
· To ensure that all designs are produced in commercially viable timescales and as required by the Operations team.
· Work closely with the Operations team in the selection of equipment, materials, and design solutions.
· Attend client meetings as required.
· Constantly review the engineering standard and current legislation and bring any changes in practice we need to adopt.
· Where a third party is employed to carry out any design work, the designer shall be responsible for vetting the third parties’ work as set out in items 1-5 above.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for the continuous running of equipment and machinery (mechanical, pneumatic and electromechanical) in industrial manufacturing settings. You will also carry out routine maintenance tasks and organise repairs as well as being involved with the control and monitoring of devices and occasionally in the manufacture of items that will help in maintenance.
The role will involve working with the Maintenance Manager to come up with innovative ideas and strategies to improve development and progress the manufacturing and processing procedures within the facility. Working with the maintenance team you'll improve production facilities, reduce the incidence of costly breakdowns and develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel and production processes.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out routine maintenance work and responding to equipment faults
- Diagnosing breakdown problems
- Fitting new parts and ensuring equipment is working correctly
- Performing quality inspections on jobs
- Controlling maintenance tools, stores and equipment
- Handling emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs

- Writing maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines
- Ensuring there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns
- The work may involve extended periods working on the factory floor and to tight deadlines in response to breakdown emergencies.

Are you a Electronic Test & Repair Engineer looking for a new opportunity? My client in Newcastle under Lyme are recruting for a Electronic Test & Repair Engineer to join them on a permanent contract.
As an Electronic Test & Repair Engineer you will be testing and repairing electronic equipment, diagnosing faults and supporting other tasks within the MRO department.
Main responsibilities:
- To carry out testing and repairs of complex electronic systems down to component level on digital and analogue circuits
- To repair CCTV equipment, PCs, UPS and switch modes power supplies
- To use a variety of test equipment including power supplies, oscilloscopes and spectrum analysers as required
- To follow electronic schematics, gerber files, CAD layouts, wiring diagrams and diagnostic fault trees and complex engineering instructions
- To work on electronic equipment and diagnose faults without the aid of a test specification, bill of materials, items list or electronic schematics where required and be able to develop supporting documentation for repeat repairs
