Are you an English graduate aspiring to become a secondary school teacher?

This highly regarded Manchester secondary school is offering an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience before progressing onto Initial Teacher Training (ITT). You'll join a supportive English department, receive expert mentoring, and develop the skills needed for a successful teaching career.

The Role

You'll support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 by:

• Supporting teaching and learning in English lessons
• Delivering literacy interventions
• Working with small groups and individual students
• Providing academic mentoring
• Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom activities

Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

• A 2:1 degree or above in an English-related subject (English Literature, English Language, Creative Writing, Journalism, Media or similar)
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above
• A Levels at Grade C or above or a BTEC qualification
• Please note: GCSE or A Level equivalency qualifications cannot be accepted.
