What You’ll Do – Graduate English Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
As a Graduate English Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in the success of students by:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils needing extra help with English.
- Assisting with the planning and delivery of high-quality, engaging English lessons.
- Supporting students with literacy development, GCSE English preparation, and coursework.
- Encouraging a love of reading, creative writing, and thoughtful discussion in the classroom.
- Helping students build confidence in comprehension, vocabulary, and expression.
- Collaborating with teaching, SEN, and pastoral teams to ensure each pupil achieves their full potential.

- A graduate with a 2:1 degree or higher in English, English Literature, or a closely related subject.
- Academically strong with excellent written and spoken communication skills.

- Confident, adaptable, and eager to contribute to a collaborative school environment.
- Experienced working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, or volunteering) – desirable but not essential.
