Graduate English Teaching Assistant

• Full-time, long-term role beginning ASAP for the full academic year

• Earn up to £550 per week

• Vibrant secondary schools across Liverpool – multiple roles available

• Provide focused support through 1:1 and small group interventions

• Applicants must hold a 2:1 or above in an English-based degree

• Strong grounding in both English Language and Literature is required

• Previous school experience is beneficial but not essential

• Work alongside outstanding teachers and benefit from tailored mentoring

• Potential access to in-house teacher training routes from 2026

About the Role

As a Graduate English Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in raising attainment and building confidence in English. Some pupils may need encouragement and guidance to bridge learning gaps, while others will be aiming for top grades and university pathways where your academic input can make a real difference.

You’ll be embedded within a supportive teaching team, learning proven classroom strategies and seeing first-hand how experienced teachers bring lessons to life. This role is an ideal springboard for those considering teacher training or other careers in education.
