The Role : As a Trainee English Teacher, you will :
- Train to become a qualified secondary English teacher
- Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 in developing their reading, writing, and communication skills
- Inspire a love of English Language and Literature through engaging classroom teaching
- Work closely with experienced teachers and mentors to develop outstanding classroom practice
- Deliver intervention sessions and targeted support to help students reach their full potential
- Assist with lesson planning, assessment, and curriculum delivery
- Build the confidence, skills, and expertise required to become an exceptional teacher
- Progress through a structured training programme leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Who We're Looking For : Applications are welcomed from graduates who have:
- A First-Class or 2:1 degree in English, English Literature, English Language, or a closely related subject
- Strong subject knowledge and excellent academic credentials (A-Levels and GCSEs)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for education and helping young people succeed
- Confidence, resilience, and a willingness to learn
- The drive to build a successful and rewarding teaching career
- Full right to work in the UK
Previous school experience is advantageous but not essential.
