KPi Education are currently working alongside a highly regarded primary school in the St Helens area to recruit a Graduate EYFS Teaching Assistant for a long-term role starting in September 2026.

This opportunity is ideal for a graduate who is passionate about child development and eager to gain valuable classroom experience within a thriving Early Years setting.

Graduate EYFS Teaching Assistant – The Role

Working alongside experienced teachers and EYFS practitioners, you will support children during the crucial first stages of their educational journey.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting learning through play-based activities
  • Delivering early literacy, phonics, and numeracy interventions
  • Encouraging communication, social skills, and emotional development
  • Assisting within indoor and outdoor learning environments
  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Helping create an engaging, safe, and nurturing classroom environment

This is a rewarding role where you will quickly become an important part of school life while helping children develop the confidence and skills needed for future success.

Who We're Looking For:

We are particularly keen to hear from graduates who have achieved a 2:1 degree or above in:

  • Early Childhood Studies
  • Early Years Education
  • Education Studies
  • Psychology
  • Health & Social Care
  • Childhood Studies
  • Other related subjects

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Enthusiasm, creativity, and initiative
  • An interest in pursuing a long-term career within education

Previous experience working with children is beneficial but not essential.
