A forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in St Albans is hiring a Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join their academic and pastoral support team. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity with start dates available immediately or from September 2025.
Key Responsibilities: Graduate Learning Support Assistant
- Provide tailored one-to-one and small group academic support to Year 9 pupils with EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans).
- Collaborate with teaching staff to deliver differentiated learning activities in class.
- Track and encourage individual student progress, offering both academic and emotional support.
- Assist learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them grow in confidence and reach their full potential.
Candidate Requirements: Graduate Learning Support Assistant
- Minimum 2:1 bachelor’s degree from a UK-based university (required).
- A genuine interest in education, child development, psychology, or youth support.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive attitude.
- Previous experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, coaching) is beneficial but not essential.
