A highly regarded specialist SEN school in Brent, North West London is seeking multiple Graduate Learning Support Assistants to join their team from September 2025. Graded ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, this modern and inclusive school supports students aged 11–16 with a variety of learning difficulties and complex needs, providing them with the tailored guidance they need to succeed academically and personally.
The Role – Graduate Learning Support Assistant:
As a Graduate Learning Support Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting students with a wide range of needs, including autism, ADHD, profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), and speech and communication challenges. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering 1:1 and small group support to help students access the curriculum and develop confidence.
- Supporting students with speech, communication, and social interaction needs, working closely with therapists and psychologists.
- Helping pupils build life skills and prepare for transitions into adulthood, independence, and community life.
- Providing emotional and pastoral support, creating a safe, structured environment where every student feels understood.
- Assisting students who may have physical or medical needs, including mobility support and personal care.
- Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families to implement individual education plans (IEPs).

Ideal Candidate – Graduate Learning Support Assistant:
- A 2:1 degree or higher in Psychology, Education, Speech & Language Therapy, Health & Social Care, or a related subject.
- Strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, and adaptability.
- Genuine passion for supporting young people with SEN.
- Previous experience in youth work, SEN education, or mental health support is highly desirable.
- A driving licence is helpful but not essential.
