The Role
As a Graduate Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students across a range of subjects, helping to raise attainment and build confidence in the classroom.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing targeted 1:1 and small group support to students across KS3 and KS4.
- Assisting pupils with their learning, helping to improve understanding and engagement.
- Supporting classroom teachers in delivering effective lessons.
- Helping students develop confidence, independence, and positive learning habits.
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff and the SEN department.
- Contributing to a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
This role provides valuable, hands-on experience within a secondary school setting and is ideal preparation for teacher training or a career in education.
Person Specification
We are looking for graduates who:
- Hold a 2:1 degree or above in any subject.
- Have a genuine interest in education and supporting young people.
- Are proactive, professional, and enthusiastic.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Are keen to gain classroom experience ahead of a potential teaching career.
- Have prior experience working with young people (desirable but not essential).
