About the Role: Graduate Learning Support Assistant
- Full-time, term-time position commencing October 2026
- Earn up to £560 per week
- Monday-Friday, 32.5 hours per week

- Graduates with a 2:1 or above in Psychology, Education, or a related discipline encouraged to apply
- Excellent experience for aspiring Teachers, Educational Psychologists, Speech & Language Therapists, and SEN professionals
- Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with additional learning needs
- Work alongside experienced teachers and support staff to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
In this rewarding role, you’ll become an important part of the school’s wider support team, helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and develop the confidence they need to succeed.
Whether you’re supporting a child with their academic work, encouraging greater independence, or helping them develop their social and emotional skills, you’ll provide consistent, personalised support that can have a meaningful impact on their school experience.
Working closely with teachers and other members of the support team, you’ll contribute to targeted interventions and help create a classroom environment where pupils feel understood, encouraged, and confident enough to take on new challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personalised 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional learning needs
- Assist teachers with planning, preparing, and delivering engaging classroom activities
- Encourage pupils to develop academically, socially, and emotionally
- Adapt support and learning approaches to reflect individual needs, strengths, and learning preferences
- Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and relevant external professionals to support and monitor pupil development
- Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and independence
What We’re Looking For
- A graduate with a 2:1 or above in Psychology, Education, or a related subject
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- An interest in SEN, child development, educational psychology, or teaching
- A patient, proactive, and compassionate approach to supporting pupils
- Someone who is keen to learn, develop, and gain meaningful experience within a school environment
