A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Oldham is seeking a motivated and compassionate Graduate Learning Support Assistant (SEN) to join their team and provide targeted academic and emotional support to pupils who need it most.

About You
The school is looking for a graduate who is passionate about making a real difference in children’s lives. You will ideally have :
- A 2:1 degree or above in any subject (Psychology, Education, or related fields are advantageous)
- A genuine interest in supporting children with Special Educational Needs
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience working with children or young people (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, coaching, youth work) is beneficial but not essential
- The right to work in the UK
Full training and ongoing support will be provided, making this an excellent first step into a rewarding career in education.
About the Role
As a Graduate Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils across the primary age range who require additional help to access learning and build confidence in the classroom.
The school supports children with a range of needs, including:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- ADHD
- Speech and Language difficulties
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering 1:1 support and small group interventions
- Supporting EHCP targets and personalised learning strategies
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress
- Encouraging positive behaviour, independence, and engagement
- Helping to create a structured, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
This role offers excellent practical SEN experience and is ideal for graduates considering careers in education, psychology, therapy, or child development.
