Graduate Maths Mentor Responsibilities

As a Graduate Maths Mentor, you will:

  • Deliver one-to-one and small-group Maths interventions
  • Support students preparing for GCSE and A-Level examinations
  • Help raise attainment across the Mathematics Department
  • Work with high-achieving students and those requiring additional support
  • Build students' confidence in numeracy and problem-solving
  • Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

Graduate Maths Mentor Requirements

The ideal Graduate Maths Mentor will possess:

  • A 2:1 degree or above in Mathematics or a closely related subject
  • Strong academic credentials throughout education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for Mathematics and education
  • The ability to motivate and inspire young people
  • An ambition to pursue a career within teaching or education
