Person Specification

To be considered, you'll need:

• A 2:1 degree or above in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative subject
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above
• A Levels at Grade C or above, or an equivalent Level 3 BTEC qualification
• A genuine passion for education and a desire to become a secondary Maths teacher
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Full right to work in the UK

Important: GCSE or A Level equivalency qualifications cannot be accepted for this programme.

The Role

From your first day, you'll become a valued member of the Maths department, supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4 while developing the knowledge and practical skills needed to become an outstanding teacher.

You will:

• Support teaching and learning in Maths lessons
• Deliver targeted numeracy interventions to individuals and small groups
• Provide one-to-one academic mentoring
• Assist with lesson planning and classroom preparation
• Develop your classroom practice under the guidance of experienced Maths teachers
• Build the confidence and experience needed to progress into teacher training
