Are you graduating with a 2:1 degree or above in Mathematics or a related subject and ready to inspire the next generation?
Whether you're a recent graduate or considering a career change, this salaried teacher training programme offers the opportunity to become a qualified Maths Teacher while earning a salary from your very first day.
Over 12 months, you'll gain invaluable classroom experience, receive expert mentoring and achieve Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) alongside a fully funded PGCE (optional)—giving you everything you need to begin a successful teaching career.
From September 2026, you'll join a successful secondary school in Manchester City Centre (M3) as a Graduate Trainee Maths Teacher, gradually progressing from observing experienced teachers to confidently planning and delivering your own lessons with the support of experienced mentors.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Graduate Trainee Maths Teacher, you will:
- Observe experienced teachers and develop outstanding classroom practice.
- Support the delivery of engaging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Gradually take responsibility for planning, delivering and assessing your own lessons.
- Learn effective behaviour management and assessment strategies.
- Inspire students to develop confidence, curiosity and resilience in Mathematics.
- Monitor pupil progress and adapt your teaching to meet the needs of all learners.
- Contribute to intervention programmes and the wider life of the school.
- Build the skills, knowledge and confidence required to become an exceptional classroom practitioner.
What We're Looking For
To be considered for this programme, you'll need:
- A 2:1 degree or above in Mathematics or another highly numerate subject.
- Strong GCSE and A-Level Mathematics knowledge.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for Mathematics and education.
- The confidence to inspire, motivate and engage young people.
- Strong organisational skills and a commitment to continuous professional development.
- Resilience, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
- The right to work full-time in the UK.
Previous classroom experience is welcomed but not essential. We're looking for ambitious graduates with the potential to become outstanding teachers.
Applicants should also be able to commute reliably to Manchester City Centre (M3 6DD) on a daily basis.
