KPi Education is working in partnership with a successful and well-regarded secondary school in Wembley to appoint an outstanding Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant. This long-term, full-time role is ideal for ambitious graduates who are serious about progressing into teaching and want meaningful, practical experience before embarking on formal teacher training.

The Role

As a Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant, you will play an integral role within a thriving Maths department. You will support pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential exposure to Key Stage 5, assisting in raising attainment and building student confidence in Mathematics.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group academic support in Maths.
  • Assisting class teachers with lesson delivery and preparation.
  • Delivering targeted intervention sessions for pupils requiring additional support.
  • Stretching and challenging high-achieving students.
  • Supporting classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

KPi Education is seeking graduates who are academically strong, professional, and genuinely committed to pursuing a career in education.

You should:

  • Hold a 2:1 or above degree in Mathematics or a closely related discipline.
  • Have strong academic credentials, including excellent GCSE and A-Level results in Maths.
  • Demonstrate a clear interest in teacher training or a long-term career within education.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and confidence when working with young people.
  • Be proactive, resilient, and eager to contribute to school life.

Previous experience working with young people is advantageous but not essential. A passion for education and a desire to make a measurable impact are far more important.
