Put Your Maths Degree to Work

Your role will be varied and academically focused.

One lesson could see you helping Year 10 pupils understand simultaneous equations; the next, you might be delivering a GCSE intervention to students approaching their final examinations.

You could work individually with a pupil whose confidence in Maths has disappeared before later challenging high-achieving students with advanced problem-solving.

As your confidence grows, there may also be opportunities to plan and deliver sections of lessons under teacher supervision.

The aim is simple: by the end of the year, you should understand far more about teaching Mathematics than you ever could from simply observing a classroom.
