Graduate Maths Trainee Teacher – What to expect

As a Graduate Maths Trainee Teacher, you’ll begin in September 2025 with a carefully structured induction and reduced teaching hours, giving you time to observe, prepare, and build confidence in your practice.

Working closely with an experienced and supportive mentor, you’ll begin to plan and deliver lessons, create your own classroom resources, and develop strong relationships with students.

Every Wednesday, you’ll benefit from a protected home-learning day focused on your professional development, including online training and reflection activities.

By the end of the year, you will have significantly developed your teaching practice, confidence, and subject pedagogy — and be fully qualified with QTS by July 2026.
