Are you a high-achieving Maths graduate with a passion for teaching? KPI Education is proud to be working in partnership with a progressive and high-performing secondary school in the Seahaven area to recruit ambitious graduates for its Graduate Maths Teacher Training programme, starting in September 2026.
This salaried, school-based pathway offers an excellent opportunity to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) within one year, while developing hands-on classroom experience and benefiting from expert mentorship—without the financial burden of a traditional PGCE.
About the Role
As a Graduate Maths Trainee Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to support at Key Stage 5.
- Provide small-group and one-to-one support to raise attainment and build student confidence.
- Develop essential teaching skills, including lesson planning, assessment, and differentiation.
- Participate in weekly professional development sessions focused on pedagogy and classroom management.
- Support enrichment activities, problem-solving sessions, and data-driven teaching strategies.
- Gradually take on full teaching responsibilities under the guidance of experienced mentors.
This role offers immediate, practical experience, giving you valuable insight into the daily responsibilities of a teacher from the outset.

Person Specification
- A 2:1 degree or above in Mathematics or a related discipline.
- Strong A-levels in maths or related subjects.
- GCSE Maths and English at grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).
- A genuine passion for Mathematics and education.
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Resilience, initiative, and professionalism in a dynamic school environment.
- The right to work in the UK.
Previous experience working with young people is beneficial but not essential. We are looking for graduates with enthusiasm, commitment, and the drive to succeed in a rewarding teaching career.
