The Opportunity
As a Graduate Maths Trainee Teacher, you will be immersed in a thriving Mathematics department, working alongside experienced practitioners who are passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
From day one, you will be given meaningful responsibility, with your development carefully supported and structured throughout the programme.
You will:
- Support and deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities at Key Stage 5.
- Work with high-ability students as well as those requiring targeted intervention to raise attainment.
- Develop mastery in lesson planning, sequencing, assessment, and adaptive teaching strategies.
- Observe and learn from outstanding classroom practitioners across the department.
- Engage in weekly, evidence-informed training sessions focused on pedagogy, behaviour, and curriculum design.
- Gradually assume full responsibility for lesson delivery under expert mentoring and supervision.
This programme is designed to develop not only your classroom skills, but your understanding of how to inspire, challenge, and accelerate student progress.

Candidate Profile

You will have:
- A 2:1 degree or above in Mathematics or a highly relevant discipline.
- GCSE English and Mathematics at grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).
- A strong academic background and genuine passion for Mathematics.
- The ability to communicate clearly and inspire young learners.
- A resilient, reflective, and professional mindset.
- A strong commitment to developing into an outstanding teacher.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
Previous experience working with young people is beneficial but not essential; intellectual curiosity, drive, and commitment are key.
