Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant - About the Role:
A number of welcoming and supportive primary schools across Derbyshire are seeking enthusiastic Graduate Primary Teaching Assistants to join their teams. These roles offer an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on classroom experience, build essential teaching skills, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners.
Whether you're supporting children in Early Years, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2, working as a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant will allow you to collaborate with experienced educators, grow professionally, and take an important first step toward a rewarding career in education.
Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant - What You’ll Be Doing:
- Earn up to £550 a week while building valuable experience working directly in a classroom setting.
- Offer personalised support to students in small groups or one-on-one, boosting their skills in literacy and numeracy.
- Collaborate with teachers to deliver dynamic and creative lessons that spark curiosity and enthusiasm.

Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant - What We’re Looking For:
- A 2:1 degree or higher in any subject (Education, Psychology, English, or related fields preferred).
- A genuine passion for working with children and a desire to help them succeed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or volunteering) is a plus, but not essential.
- A desire to gain valuable classroom experience before applying for teacher training.
