We are supporting an inclusive and welcoming primary school in Warwickshire to recruit a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant focused on working with children with special educational needs (SEN). This is a full-time, long-term opportunity ideal for a graduate eager to make a difference and develop practical classroom skills.
Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant – Why You Should Apply:

Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to primary pupils with additional needs
- Assisting the SENCO and class teachers with delivering targeted interventions
- Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Helping children build confidence, resilience, and positive learning habits
- Tracking progress and contributing to Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) reviews
- Communicating regularly with teachers, parents, and support staff
- Promoting a calm, consistent, nurturing classroom environment
- Participating in training and reflective practice to support your professional growth
Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For:
- A 2:1 degree or above in any subject
- Genuine interest in working with children and SEN
- Previous experience with children (volunteering or work) is desirable but not essential
- Patience, empathy, and a positive, proactive mindset
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A long-term interest in working in education or related roles
