KPi Education are currently working alongside a highly regarded primary school in St Helens to recruit a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant for a long-term role starting in September 2026.
This opportunity is ideal for a graduate who is passionate about education and eager to gain invaluable school-based experience before progressing into teacher training or a wider career within education.
Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant – The Role
As a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced class teachers to support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Delivering targeted literacy and numeracy interventions
- Providing classroom support during lessons and activities
- Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and learning resources
- Supporting children with additional learning needs where required

Who We're Looking For
We are particularly keen to hear from graduates who have achieved a 2:1 degree or above in:
- Core Subjects (English, Maths or Science)
- Psychology
- Educational Studies
- Other related academic subjects
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- A genuine passion for working with children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach
- A desire to pursue a career within education
Previous experience working with children is beneficial but not essential.
