KPI Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and high-achieving primary school in Brent to recruit a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant for a September 2026 start.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience while working alongside experienced teachers and supporting pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. The Role

As a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting pupils' academic progress and personal development while assisting teachers with the day-to-day delivery of engaging lessons.

Your Responsibilities

As a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Deliver one-to-one and small group intervention sessions in literacy and numeracy.
  • Support pupils during lessons, encouraging confidence and active participation.
  • Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
  • Adapt learning resources to meet the needs of individual pupils.
  • Support children with additional learning needs where appropriate.
  • Help monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and promote an inclusive learning environment.
  • Act as a positive role model throughout the school day.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum 2:1 bachelor’s degree in psychology, core subjects or relatable degrees.
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, enthusiastic and proactive approach.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential.
