Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant
- Full-time, long-term role starting in September 2026
- Monday–Friday, 32.5 hours per week, term-time only
- Earn up to £540 per week
- School based in Leeds with excellent transport links
- Graduates with a 2:1 degree or above encouraged to apply
- Degrees in Education, Psychology or core subjects particularly welcomed
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils facing a range of barriers to learning
- Work alongside experienced teachers and education professionals
- Develop valuable classroom experience and transferable skills

Working full-time during term time, Monday to Friday, you’ll become an important part of the school community. The ideal candidate will hold a 2:1 degree or above, with graduates from Education, Psychology or relevant core subject backgrounds particularly encouraged to apply.
As a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers, SENCOs and fellow Teaching Assistants to implement effective strategies that help pupils overcome barriers to learning. You’ll provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support, assist with classroom activities and help pupils develop both academically and socially.
The role offers an excellent opportunity to take the knowledge and skills you’ve developed through your degree and apply them in a real classroom environment. Whether you’re planning to pursue a PGCE, teaching career, educational psychology, speech and language therapy or another education-based pathway, this experience will provide an invaluable foundation.
