The Opportunity

This role offers far more than traditional classroom support. The successful graduate will become an integral part of school life, working closely with teachers and pupils to enhance learning and raise achievement across the primary phase.

The school is flexible regarding year group placement and will seek to align the successful candidate's strengths and interests with the needs of the school, whether in EYFS, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting pupils during lessons to maximise engagement and progress.
  • Delivering focused intervention sessions in literacy and numeracy.
  • Working with small groups of pupils to reinforce key learning objectives.
  • Providing tailored support for children requiring additional academic guidance.
  • Helping to develop pupils' confidence, independence, and resilience.
  • Assisting with the preparation of learning resources and classroom activities.
  • Supporting educational visits, enrichment activities, and wider school events.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.

Candidate Requirements

The school is keen to hear from ambitious graduates who can demonstrate both academic excellence and a genuine enthusiasm for working with children.

Essential

  • A degree from a Russell Group University.
  • A First-Class Honours Degree or strong 2:1 classification.
  • Strong A-Level results.
  • Excellent GCSEs, particularly in English and Mathematics.
  • A passion for supporting and inspiring primary-aged children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High levels of professionalism, enthusiasm, and initiative.
