The Role :
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils achieve their full potential, both academically and socially.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting teaching and learning across a range of curriculum subjects
- Delivering literacy and numeracy interventions to small groups
- Providing tailored 1:1 support for pupils requiring additional assistance
- Supporting children with SEND and additional learning needs
- Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement, and confidence in learning
- Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
- Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
This role is particularly suited to graduates considering careers in teaching, educational psychology, child development, or wider education support professions.
About You :
To be considered for this position, you will:
- Hold a 2:1 degree or above (or be predicted to achieve this)
- Have a degree in Education, Psychology, English, Maths, or a related subject (desirable)
- Demonstrate a positive, proactive, and professional attitude
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Have a genuine interest in supporting children's education and development
- Be keen to gain practical school-based experience
- Be considering a future career within education
- Have the right to work in the UK
