The Role :
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and support staff to help pupils thrive both academically and socially.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting teaching and learning across the primary curriculum
- Delivering literacy and numeracy interventions to individuals and small groups
- Providing tailored 1:1 support for pupils who require additional assistance
- Supporting children with SEND and additional learning needs
- Encouraging positive behaviour and active participation in lessons
- Assisting with classroom preparation and learning activities
- Helping to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
This position offers excellent exposure to classroom practice and is ideal for graduates considering careers in teaching, educational psychology, speech and language therapy, or wider education support roles.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Hold a 2:1 degree or above
- Have a degree in Education, Psychology, English, Maths, or a related subject (desirable)
- Demonstrate a positive, proactive, and reliable approach
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Have a genuine passion for education and child development
- Be eager to gain practical school-based experience
- Be considering a future career within education
- Have the right to work in the UK
