The Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting teaching and learning across a range of curriculum subjects
  • Delivering literacy and numeracy interventions to individuals and small groups
  • Providing tailored 1:1 support for pupils requiring additional assistance
  • Supporting children with SEND and additional learning needs
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
  • Assisting with classroom preparation and learning activities
  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

This role provides excellent exposure to classroom practice and is ideal for graduates considering careers in teaching, educational psychology, speech and language therapy, or wider education support professions.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Hold a 2:1 degree or above
  • Have a degree in Education, Psychology, English, Maths, or a related subject (desirable)
  • Demonstrate a positive, proactive, and reliable approach
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have a genuine passion for education and child development
  • Be eager to gain practical school-based experience
  • Be considering a future career within education
  • Have the right to work in the UK
