A welcoming, inclusive, and community-focused primary school in Manchester (M12 5QG) is seeking a dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Early Years, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2.

About You :

  • A graduate with a 2:1 degree or above
  • Degrees in Education, Psychology, Child Development, English, Maths, or related fields are desirable
  • Strong spoken English skills are essential to effectively support pupils, particularly in a school with a high proportion of learners with English as an Additional Language (EAL)
  • A positive, proactive, and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for education, Early Years development & inclusive practice
  • Experience with EYFS and/or SEND (highly desirable)
  • Are an aspiring teacher, educational psychologist, or SEN specialist
  • Must have the right to work in the UK

The Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting both academic progress and pupil wellbeing across a range of age groups, responsibilities will include :

  • Supporting pupils with early language development, phonics, literacy, and numeracy
  • Working with small groups and delivering 1:1 interventions
  • Supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Assisting within Early Years settings, helping to deliver play-based and structured learning
  • Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and communication needs
  • Helping to maintain a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
