Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN
  • Supporting class teachers with lesson delivery and behaviour management
  • Assisting pupils in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and academic confidence
  • Implementing strategies tailored to individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Promoting a positive, inclusive learning environment that fosters growth and resilience
  • Helping to track progress and contribute to personalised learning plans
  • Building trusting relationships with students to encourage independence and motivation
  • Creating a safe and engaging space for every learner to thrive

Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For:

  • A 2:1 or above in Psychology (or a closely related field)
  • A genuine interest in working with children and young people with SEN
  • Previous experience in education, youth work, or care settings is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, compassion, and a flexible, proactive mindset
  • A desire to pursue a career in education, SEN, or psychology
