Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant – SEN Focus – Up to £550 per week

Location: Warwickshire

We are partnering with an inclusive and supportive school in Warwickshire to recruit a Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant focused on children with special educational needs (SEN). This is a full-time, long-term role ideal for a graduate eager to make a difference while developing knowledge of behaviour, learning, and emotional support within education.

Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant – Why You Should Apply:

Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Deliver 1:1 and small group support to children with additional needs
  • Assist SENCO and class teachers with targeted interventions
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
  • Help build emotional regulation, resilience, and confidence
  • Track progress and contribute to EHCP reviews
  • Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and support staff
  • Promote a calm, consistent, nurturing classroom environment
  • Engage in training and reflective practice to grow professionally

Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For:

  • 2:1 degree or above in Psychology or related field
  • Genuine interest in SEN, child development, and mental health
  • Experience with young people (volunteering or work) is a plus but not essential
  • Emotional intelligence, patience, and a calm, proactive approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Long-term commitment to education, psychology, or therapeutic work
