What will you be doing?

As a Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils both individually and within small groups, helping them access learning and develop greater confidence and independence.

You will build positive relationships with pupils and learn how different approaches can support communication, behaviour and engagement.

You could be supporting targeted interventions, adapting learning activities, encouraging positive behaviour and working closely with teachers and specialist professionals to ensure each young person receives personalised support.

Who are we looking for?

This opportunity is particularly suited to graduates with a 2:1 or above in Psychology, although applications from graduates in closely related disciplines will also be considered.

You don't necessarily need previous school experience.

We're looking for graduates who can demonstrate empathy, patience, resilience and a genuine passion for SEN.

Perhaps your ambition is to become an Educational Psychologist, but you need relevant experience before progressing further. You might be considering SEN teaching, Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy or another child-focused profession.
