About the Role
As a School Sports Coach, you will work alongside experienced PE and Games staff to deliver high-quality coaching across a range of sports and age groups.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering coaching sessions during curriculum and extracurricular sport
- Supporting school teams during fixtures and competitions
- Assisting with sports events, tournaments and school activities
- Promoting participation, teamwork and sporting excellence
- Mentoring pupils and acting as a positive role model
- Supporting wider school initiatives and pastoral programmes
- Contributing to the vibrant life of the school community
Who We're Looking For
The successful candidate will be:
- A graduate in Sports Science, Physical Education, Coaching, or a related subject
- Passionate about working with young people
- Confident delivering coaching sessions across one or more sports
- An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Enthusiastic, reliable and highly professional
- Committed to making a positive contribution to school life
- Considering a long-term career in education, coaching or teaching
Previous experience working with young people, sports clubs, academies, schools or community programmes would be advantageous but is not essential.
