Are you a Science graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in education before pursuing a career in teaching, educational psychology, or child development?
A welcoming and high-achieving primary school in Sutton is seeking a talented Graduate Science Academic Mentor to support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates who are passionate about inspiring young learners and helping children develop confidence in Science and STEM subjects.

The Role
- Support pupils in Science lessons and across the wider curriculum.
- Deliver targeted interventions for individuals and small groups.
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging learning activities.
- Encourage pupils' curiosity and enthusiasm for STEM subjects.
- Support children who may require additional academic guidance.
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered, applicants must:
- Hold a Science-related degree with a 2:1 classification or above.
- Have completed GCSEs and A-Levels within the UK education system.
- Have achieved passes in both GCSE and A-Level qualifications.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be enthusiastic about working with children and supporting their development.
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Be considering a future career in teaching, education, or a child-focused profession.
