The Opportunity
A vibrant and well-respected secondary school in Hounslow is looking to appoint a Graduate Science Teaching Assistant for a full-time role starting in September 2025. This is an excellent chance for aspiring Science teachers to gain practical experience in the classroom and support pupils across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
As a Graduate Science Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced Science teachers, supporting student learning in both group and one-to-one settings. You’ll help deliver engaging lessons, assist with practical experiments, and contribute to the overall academic progress of pupils at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Key Responsibilities – Graduate Science Teaching Assistant
- Support the delivery of high-quality Science lessons and lab activities.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students needing extra help.
- Assist Science teachers with classroom preparation, behaviour management, and resource organisation.
- Reinforce key learning objectives in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive learning environment within the Science department.
Candidate Profile – Graduate Science Teaching Assistant
- A recent Science graduate (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) with a 2:1 degree or higher.
- A strong communicator with a passion for education and youth development.
- Any experience tutoring, mentoring, or volunteering with young people is beneficial.
- A genuine interest in becoming a future Science teacher.
- Fully committed to working full-time for the 2025/2026 academic year.
