Graduate Science Teaching Assistant

  • Full-time, long-term position commencing September 2026
  • Monday–Friday, 32.5 hours per week during term time
  • Assignment rate of up to £560 per week
  • Liverpool city centre location with excellent public transport connections
  • Applicants should hold a 2:1 degree or above in a Science-related subject
  • Biology, Chemistry, and Physics graduates are especially welcome
  • Provide focused academic support across KS3 and KS4
  • Collaborate with experienced Science teachers to enhance pupils’ understanding
  • Develop valuable classroom experience ahead of Teacher Training from September 2027
  • Interviews available immediately

This Graduate Science Teaching Assistant opportunity is ideal for a recent Science graduate looking to gain practical experience within a secondary school before progressing into teacher training. You’ll support pupils on a one-to-one and small-group basis, helping them grasp challenging topics, strengthen their confidence, and make continued academic progress.

The school is looking for a dedicated Science graduate with strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for working with young people. You’ll become part of a supportive Science department, benefiting from guidance, mentoring, and professional development while building your confidence in tutoring and classroom support.
