A successful and inclusive secondary school in Coventry is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Secondary Teaching Assistant to join its support team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate considering a future career in teaching, educational psychology, SEND, counselling, or another education-focused profession.

Working alongside experienced teachers and pastoral staff, you will support students aged 11-16, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve both academically and personally.

The role:

  • Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 in lessons
  • Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions
  • Assist teachers in creating engaging and inclusive learning environments
  • Support students who require additional academic or pastoral guidance
  • Help students build confidence, resilience and independence
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school community

 

The candidate:

  • Holds a 2:1 degree or higher in Psychology, Education Studies, Maths, English, Science or a related subject
  • Has a genuine passion for education and supporting young people
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills
  • Is considering a future career in education or a related field
  • Has the right to work in the UK
