Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

A wonderful looking for an enthusiastic SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at one of our SEN schools in located in Crewe.
As an SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and learning of students with SEN, contributing to their academic and personal growth. You will be joining a supportive and collaborative team of experienced educators and specialists who are committed to creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment. You will also have the advantage of professional development opportunities, training sessions, and mentoring programs designed to enhance your skills and advance your career in the field of special education.
The school supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties in Cheshire where children are offered a varied and inspiring curriculum with a focus on vocational and well-being subjects as well as academic subjects. The school offers a number of different of surroundings to aid in development, such as calm & sensory rooms to tranquil learning environments and outdoor spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN, tailoring your approach to meet their unique needs and abilities.
- Collaborate with teachers to create an inclusive classroom environment, assisting in the implementation of specialised teaching strategies.
- Work closely with the SEN team to monitor and record student progress, contributing valuable insights to individualised education plans.
- Foster open communication with parents, caregivers, and other members of the school community to ensure a holistic approach to student development.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Possess a relevant 2:1 degree & above in special education, psychology, or a related field.
- Demonstrate a genuine passion for creating inclusive educational environments and supporting the diverse needs of students with SEN.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
