Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – The Role 

  • Full-time, long-term Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant role
  • Earn up to £540 per week
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM – Term time only
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and sensory impairments.
  • Assist in the implementation of tailored learning plans, working alongside teachers, therapists, and support staff.
  • Help students develop social, communication, and life skills, preparing them for greater independence.
  • Support students with emotional regulation and behaviour management, ensuring a positive learning environment.
  • Work in collaboration with speech & language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists to enhance student learning and development.

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Candidate Specification

  • A 2:1 or above degree in Psychology, Education, Health & Social Care, or a related field.
  • A genuine passion for working with young people with SEN.
  • Strong communication, empathy, and patience.
  • Previous experience in mentoring, tutoring, support work, or SEN environments is highly desirable.
  • Resilience and adaptability, with the ability to approach challenges positively.
