We’re partnering with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Birmingham to recruit a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant. This full-time, long-term role is perfect for a compassionate and enthusiastic graduate eager to support children with a range of additional needs in a vibrant classroom setting.

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, or learning difficulties
  • Assisting the class teacher in adapting lesson plans and classroom activities
  • Encouraging social, emotional, and academic development through targeted interventions
  • Promoting a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment
  • Helping pupils build confidence, independence, and positive relationships
  • Monitoring progress and sharing feedback with teachers and SENCOs
  • Supporting play-based learning and contributing to school-wide SEN strategies

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For:

  • A 2:1 degree or higher in Psychology, Education, Childhood Studies, or a related field
  • A genuine interest in SEN support and inclusive education
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is highly desirable
  • Strong empathy, patience, and communication skills
  • A proactive, flexible, and supportive attitude
  • Aspiration to work in education, SEN, child psychology, or therapy
