Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Full-time, long-term role starting September 2025
  • Earn up to £530 per week in this rewarding position
  • Single-site placement at a specialist SEN school in Liverpool
  • Support pupils with a variety of additional needs including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
  • Applicants should hold a 2:1 or higher in a relevant subject (Psychology, Education, or related fields preferred)
  • Prior experience working with individuals with SEN required (formal or informal)
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience are essential qualities
  • Collaborate with experienced SEN specialists and multidisciplinary teams
  • Opportunity to progress into teacher training routes from 2026
  • Interviews taking place throughout the summer

About the Role:

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital part in supporting pupils both in the classroom and during small group or individual interventions. You’ll work closely with teachers, support staff, and other specialists to adapt learning approaches to meet each child’s unique needs.

Flexibility and adaptability are key, as no two students’ learning profiles are the same. You’ll gain valuable insights into SEN strategies and approaches, building skills that will serve you in a wide range of education and care careers.

Who We’re Looking For:

The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in SEN education and some prior experience supporting children or young people with additional needs. This might be through school work, volunteering, care roles, or personal experience.

This role is ideal for graduates considering careers in teaching, educational psychology, speech and language therapy, or other SEN-focused professions. For the right person, there is a clear pathway into formal teacher training from 2026.
