A specialist SEN school in Edmonton, North London, is looking for a dedicated Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team from September 2025. Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, the school provides a nurturing, inclusive environment where students aged 11–16 receive tailored support to help them succeed both academically and personally.
The Role – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant:
As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll support students with a range of additional needs, including:
- Autism (ASC)
- ADHD
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Moderate learning difficulties
You’ll work closely with teachers and specialists to provide both 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils to engage with the curriculum, build confidence, and overcome barriers to learning.
This role is an excellent stepping stone for graduates in Psychology, Education, Social Sciences, or related fields, or for those with prior experience in youth work, mentoring, or care.

Ideal Candidate – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant:
- A 2:1 degree or above (Psychology or related fields advantageous)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Resilient, adaptable, and calm in challenging situations
- Previous SEN or youth support experience is desirable but not essential
- Must have the right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)
