Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Lambeth, South London
Role: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30am–15:30pm
Salary: £500–£600 per week
Start Date: September 2025


Have you recently graduated from university with a degree in Psychology, Education Studies, Childhood Studies or something similar?

Are you passionate about forging a career in the education, mental health or psychology sectors, working with children who require specialist support to reach their personal aspirations?

This specialist SEN school serves a range of young people with diverse needs. All students at this school have been diagnosed with communicative, cognitive or SEMH needs that require detailed and empathetic support.

Now expanding their team, this school is looking for a passionate Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant who has a desire to learn more about the needs of SEN children and implement the best methods of ensuring they have an empathetic and impactful education.


Who We’re Looking For

The ideal application for thisGraduate SEN Teaching Assistant role will have:

  • A recent degree that is 2:2 or higher in Psychology, Education, Special Educational Needs and Disability, Education or related field
  • A genuine passion for supporting young children in their learning and development
  • Interest in establishing a career aiding the development of young people
  • An empathetic, caring and resilient nature
  • Some experience working with children is desirable but not essential

The Role

  • Collaborate with therapists, SENCOs, and teaching staff to ensure holistic support
  • Develop your knowledge of EHCPs, adaptive teaching, and early intervention
