Ideal Candidate – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Minimum 2:1 degree (Psychology or Education backgrounds particularly welcome)
  • Calm, empathetic and patient approach
  • Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence
  • Previous experience supporting children (tutoring, SEN support, mentoring, youth work) highly desirable
  • Passionate about pursuing a long-term career in SEN, mental health, or education
  • Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)

In this Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant role, you will provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with ADHD, autism, and additional needs. You’ll help implement personalised strategies to support focus, emotional regulation, and social development, ensuring pupils feel secure and motivated within the classroom.

Working closely with the SENDCo, the Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant will receive continuous mentoring and hands-on training to develop confidence and expertise in supporting complex needs. This role allows you to translate academic theory into meaningful classroom practice while building invaluable professional experience.
