An inviting and inclusive primary school in Birmingham is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide specialist educational and emotional support to their pupils.
What’s the role?
- Full time, long-term Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant role
- Term time only (Monday-Friday)
- Weekly pay of £500-530, depending on experience
- Valuable, hands-on experience working with SEN students in a mainstream primary school setting
- Ongoing professional development and training opportunities
- Fantastic preparation for teacher training and postgraduate study in the education industry
What will I do?
- Deliver 1:1 support and small group interventions
- Support EHCP targets and help to personalise learning for the students that you are supporting
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress and engagement
What are we looking for?
- 2:1 degree or higher in Education, Psychology, Maths, English or a related subject from a leading university
- A passion for education and working with young people with Special Educational Needs
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
- Desire to pursue a career in education (preferred but not essential)
- Right to work in the UK
