About the Roles
You will become part of a multidisciplinary team supporting pupils with a range of complex additional needs, including:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
- Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
- Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN)
- Sensory processing needs
- Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Working closely with teachers, therapists, pastoral teams, and families, you will help deliver personalised, needs-led support tailored to each pupil’s EHCP outcomes and developmental profile.
Daily responsibilities may include:
- Delivering targeted 1:1 and small-group interventions
- Supporting communication through Makaton, PECS, AAC, visual timetables, and Intensive Interaction approaches
- Assisting pupils with emotional regulation and sensory integration strategies
- Helping pupils develop independence, life skills, and social communication
- Working collaboratively with Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Physiotherapy teams
