About the Roles

You will become part of a multidisciplinary team supporting pupils with a range of complex additional needs, including:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
  • Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
  • Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN)
  • Sensory processing needs
  • Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs

Working closely with teachers, therapists, pastoral teams, and families, you will help deliver personalised, needs-led support tailored to each pupil’s EHCP outcomes and developmental profile.

Daily responsibilities may include:

  • Delivering targeted 1:1 and small-group interventions
  • Supporting communication through Makaton, PECS, AAC, visual timetables, and Intensive Interaction approaches
  • Assisting pupils with emotional regulation and sensory integration strategies
  • Helping pupils develop independence, life skills, and social communication
  • Working collaboratively with Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Physiotherapy teams
