A highly regarded specialist SEN Primary school in Central Manchester is looking for a motivated Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience working with children with additional learning needs in a structured and rewarding educational setting.
The Role – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with additional needs to access learning and develop socially and emotionally.

Your responsibilities as a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant will include :
- Supporting pupils with Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH needs, & communication difficulties
- Providing 1:1 support and small group interventions
- Assisting teachers in delivering adapted and inclusive lessons
- Supporting pupils with emotional regulationand behaviour strategies
- Helping implement EHCP targets and behaviour support plans
- Working closely with teachers, therapists, and SEN specialists
- Creating a safe, positive, and structured learningenvironment
This role provides excellent practical SEN experience and is ideal for graduates considering careers in:

Ideal Candidate : We are looking for graduates who are:
- A recent graduate (2:1 or above) in Psychology, Education, Childhood Studies, or a related subject
- Passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs
- Patient, empathetic, and resilient
- A strong communicator and team player
- Interested in gaining school-based SEN experience
- Previous experience in SEN support, care work, tutoring, coaching, or youth work is advantageous but not essential
- Must have the right to work in the UK
