KPI Education, a specialist education recruitment agency, is working closely with a supportive and inclusive secondary school to recruit a Graduate Speech and Language Teaching Assistant. This role offers exceptional hands-on experience supporting students with speech, language, and communication needs.
The Role
As a Graduate Speech & Language Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside SEN staff, therapists, and teaching professionals to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting pupils with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN).
- Delivering 1:1 and small-group interventions under professional guidance.
- Assisting with the implementation of speech and language support strategies.
- Supporting students with EHCPs and additional learning needs.
- Encouraging communication, confidence, and social interaction.
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to SEN staff.
This role provides invaluable experience for graduates looking to progress into Speech and Language Therapy (SLT), SEN teaching, Educational Psychology, or related postgraduate pathways.
Person Specification
