What You’ll Be Doing – Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant:

  • Deliver 1:1 and small group support in Maths, Science, or Computing
  • Assist with lesson delivery, practical work, and classroom management
  • Help break down complex ideas and encourage independent thinking
  • Support students of varying abilities in achieving their academic goals
  • Collaborate with STEM teachers to create engaging lesson materials and activities
  • Encourage participation in STEM-related clubs or projects
  • Track pupil progress and contribute to classroom assessments
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment

What We’re Looking For – Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant:

  • A 2:1 degree or higher in a STEM field (e.g., Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science)
  • Passion for education and interest in supporting secondary school learners
  • Excellent communication and subject knowledge
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and able to adapt to classroom needs
  • Previous experience working with young people is beneficial but not required
  • A desire to pursue a career in teaching, tutoring, or STEM outreach
